About Glenn Walters
My Story
Glenn Walters Sr. was born at a United States Air Force Base located in Aganya, Guam. The child of a military family, he was educated in the public schools of Athens, Greece and later graduated from Batesburg-Leesville High School in Batesburg, South Carolina.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude in Political Science from South Carolina State University, Attorney Walters matriculated to the University of Virginia Law as an Earl Warren Legal Education Scholar and earned his Juris Doctorate in 1989. After graduation from law school, Attorney Walters was admitted to the practice of law by the South Carolina Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.
Prior to establishing his own firm, Attorney Walters practiced as an associate attorney with several prominent firms where he developed legal research skills as lead counsel on numerous cases. He received his trial experience working in the Public Defender offices for Richland and Orangeburg Counties. Attorney Walters established his firm in 1992 in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Attorney Walters has held numerous board positions throughout the Orangeburg community, namely The Family Health Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina, Chairman of the United Negro College Fund for Claflin University, the Orangeburg Arts Council, the YMCA, and the South Carolina State University Foundation Board. He is currently a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Orangeburg County Bar Association and the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association. He resides in the Orangeburg Community with his wife, Marcia, and their three children, Glenn II, Meredith, and Hamilton.
